Lihat gambar lain (Cos i only can post one picture here) ...GOooo...

Lim, isn't that all LCDs are to be installed properly by the vendors when they handed over to your school? That was what we have in my school. The vendors came, set up and installed everythings. We checked everything OK, then we signed the handover documents. What about other schools, guys? May be different vendors have different agreement.

This is just a general view from me as penyelaras ict in school all these years.
I can foresee there are ICT equipments to be sent to schools from time to time, specially under 9th M Plan. P&P has to be done partly using ICT again. So, most schools might make use of ICT teachers to handle these equipments. To me it is not fare.
School should setup an ICT Unit to handle the whole thing, ICT teachers may hand or be a member of this unit; the workload must be shared by teachers. Organise workshop or training session to train teachers. In long term, ICT teachers' load will be lighter.
The delivery and fixing of ICT equipments are normally done by two different companies, do be careful teachers. Ask them if we are not sure of the procedures as I always ask them.
Discuss, teachers, if facing problems. This forum is a good platform to share. Good day. Sorry Lim, this msg is a bit too long.

My school also got few empty grill in the classroom, but I think more LCD will be provided later. Should we put up the old one?

I not sure about the PPSMI things, because is not handle by ICT teacher. I knew ICT is under PPSMI but ICT teacher in our school only take care the Computer Lab.

Selain mengajar ICT, saya memegang jawatan Penyelaras Makmal Komputer, Bilik Akses, Peralatan PPSMI (Termasuk pembahagian Alat2 PPSMI, menyelenggara Troli yg tamat warranty dan byk lagi) Saya juga pernah berbincang dgn pengetua mengenai pembahagian tugas kpd guru lain tapi nampaknya akhirnya semua kembali kpd saya. Jadi, i memang berpegang sepenuhnya semua jawatan berkaitan ICT di sekolah, thats oklah, sebab itulah i kenal byk kawan, mengetahui cara2 pengurusan, mengendalikan server dan byk lagi yg tak dpt dirasa oleh guru2 lain, betul??? Grin

Cikgu Lim,
I dont know what kind of bracket for the LCD projectors in your school. If it is under PPSMI Fasa VI, your actually can lock the GEHA projectors up-side down with the ON button facing down so that you can use a long metre ruler to "pop" the ON button, TAK PAYAH PANJAT TURUN lagi lagi, hihihiiii. You can set the image up-side down too. Its all in the menu.
There is no fix rules saying ICT should handle what. But it is natural that ICT teachers handle ICT equipments in school, including all the electronic systems from jabatan.

(Cthnya grill LCD PPSMI Fasa V, byk sekolah masih biar macam tu saja Cry).

Ini hanya pendapat saya la.. Cool

Lim, the LCD brackets for PPSMI V are for LCD Fasa V, there are for NEC LCDs in my school. May be you have different brand in your school. Anywhere, there should be LCD remote control for GEHA or NEC. All LCDs should come with remotes. With this brackets, the remote may not work if you point the remote right at the LCD. The correct way is to point your remote towards the screen. The vendor should come to 'pasang' both the brackets and the LCDs in school. It is in their contract. Normally, there is a group to fix the brackets, the screens and the speakers, another group for fixing LCDs. Other schools could be different.

Cikgu Lee:
Ya, GEHA LCD got the Remote control but the problem is that can't used for switch on the LCD (GEHA must on manually). That remote only can work after we switch on LCD...What can do? Roll Eyes

I ask the vendor already, they only setup for the complete set (means with the LCD, speaker, screen, UPS). For the uncompleted set (without LCD), school needs to setup themselves. Cry Is that correct, i'm also not sure la

Cikgu Lim, you are right. The Geha projector has to be switched on before you can use the remote control; I just tried today. The brackets I used is purchased from private vendor. It has only one flat plate screwed to the back side of the LCD. The power switch of the LCD is totally reachable by using a long metre ruler. Never mind, climbing exercise is not too bad la. Keep fit, Lim.  Cheesy
