SJK (C) Sungai Apong Red Crescent Link Unit Successfully organized Hand Washing Course Themed "Clean Hands Save Lives"

In order to increase the awareness on importance of hand washing, SJK (C) Sungai Apong Red Crescent Link Unit has successfully organized Hand Washing Course on 17 September 2008 at the school laboratory. The hand washing courses started from 2.30pm till 3.30pm.

"Clean Hands Save Lives" course was conducted by Mr Lau Yew Nen, O/C Link of Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Chapter. The objectives of the course are to increase the awareness on hand hygiene among the teachers and students, delivering the proper and correct hand washing techniques and steps to teachers and students. Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Chapter does hope that the teachers can teach their students proper hand washing techniques in future.

There are approximate 30 teachers took part in the course and all of them passed the artificial germ simulation test. SJK (C) Sungai Apong Red Crescent Link Unit congrats all teaches for their success and Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Chapter does hope that this hand washing course can be organized in other schools.

Lastly, SJK (C) Sungai Apong Red Crescent Link Unit would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere appreciation to Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Chapter and School Management for their great support for making this activity a success.

Mr Lau,

I would like to have the Hand Washing Course in my school. Can we have it on weekdays (after school) 2pm till 4pm? or Friday 12.15pm till 4pm? Only for the staff. I had suggested the course last August, but my GB don't want to have it on weekend. He prefered weekdays.

By the way, if i want to have a First Aid Course for teachers in school, can i ask somebody from Stampin Chapter to help me? Of course not weekend or holiday lah.

Hi Tang,
First of all, thanks for your time logging in and thanks again for your request. As for week days, I will have to take leave to go to your school. If possible please arrange in weekend and I think it will be good. As for the first aid course, if possible, please do it in weekend and I'll fully support and I'll try to get instructor for your school. Do let me know the date and time. Thanks!
