PTP hanya untuk guru yang telah menghadiri ETEMS sahaja atau yang mengajar SN dan Maths.

I am a new teacher in this PPSMI and have not gone for ETeMS. i just read the document attached, and i got a doubt here:

KUMPULAN 2 ( Guru PPSMI akan lain)
Guru  yang tidak menghadiri ETeMS
Semua guru PPSMI yang tidak menghadiri kursus ETeMS perlu menduduki PTP kecuali mereka yang
i.   Memperolehi keputusan bahasa Inggeris SPM dengan gred A1, A2 atau C3.
ii.   Memperolehi keputusan Bahasa Inggeris MCE dengan gred A1 – P8.
iii.   Mengikuti pendidikan tertiari dengan Bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa penghantar.

1. do MUET take into account?
2. SPM English grade comes with A1, A2, B3, B4, etc...where do C3 refers to?
3. I am a bit confused on the (iii) statement, can somebody explain to me? if I took, let say my minor , which is mathematics in english, it is taken into account? how to verify it?

i'll be happy if someone cleared up my doubt.

No.

2. SPM English grade comes with A1, A2, B3, B4, etc...where do C3 refers to?

Could be typing error. Just need to understand gred 1, 2 or 3 no need to sit for the PTP.

"pendidikan tertiari dengan Bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa penghantar." If you graduated from UPSI you should know what "Pendidikan tertiari" means.

Give you a hint, now the students and you are "Pendidikan tertiari dengan Bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa penghantar."

"pendidikan tertiari" should be like taking degree right? or as we call it higher learning education.

if that's the case, only fully used english can be called as such then. For example i took my third level education in Australia, lilke that?

and if that's the case, even though out books are in english and exams in english, but with the lectures in Malay means still ".... bahasa pengantar sebagai bahasa malaysia"? like that?

Pendidikan Tertiari dalam konteks sistem pendidikan kebangsaan adalah pendidikan selepas pendidikan menengah hingga peringkat pendidikan tinggi. (Rujuk portal KPM).

FYI, once upon a time, subjects were graded as A1, A2, C3, C4, C5, C6, P7, P8, F9.

Yes....ICT teacher included. Yesterday, I've just filled in the borang soal selidik PPSMI. Dalam borang itu ada bertanyakan tahap pencapaian PTP. I can't fill in that part sebab dulu masih belum diambil kira. Rasanya mulai tahun ini guru ICT wajib di bawah PPSMI......(sorry for my broken BM)

in my school, i can see that those yg kene attend the PTP is those yg pernah pergi ETeMS but masa ujian last year did not get sufficient grades and got the SAL CD, those yg tak dpt english (A2, A2, C3 - SATU KETIKA DAHULU GREDNYA MCM NIH ZAMAN 90-AN) OR (A1, A2, B3 - ZAMAN BUDAK2 SEKARANG PAKAI), teachers teach Sc & Math tak pernah pegi ETeMS dan tak pegi ujian tahun lepas. pasal grade SPM i'm not sure. there are a few from my schools yg kene attend maybe dlm 10 org mcm tuh. mostly, cikgu2 baru posting dan tak pernah pegi ETeMS, english tak credit dan markah rendah dlm test tahun lepas utk guru2 yg pegi etems. sorry my typo, mix language and so...

the list of names for those who would be sitting for PTP has arrived.  As I looked through, I found out that those who were in the English Medium were not on the list.  Besides those who were in Band 1 & 2, ( after the regrading) others were exempted.  Those who had not attended ETeMs had to attend if their grades for SPM English was Credit 3 and below.  Only now, it is 1A, 2A, 3B and so on (under KBSM) Initially during my time it was Distinction for 1 & 2, Credits for 3 - 6 and Pass for 7 & 8.  So there is a C3.
Those who sat for MCE, if they had got a credit, they need not sit for it. 
I honestly wish that all these announcements and letters be sent to the school quickly.
As the Head of Panel, I need to make sure that the Buddy Support System in school helps the Maths & Science teachers and now the ICT teachers. 
If it concerns us, don't let us be the last to know.

Chong, you mean miss etems?  I've 2 teachers who have missed etems.  They're also sitting for it.
