    Try applying the concept of CASPER design screen principles. Seek help form the ICT or ICTL teachers in your school.

Generally its should not be too fancy..
Clear and clean and straight forward to the main objectives..
Focus on the result that you wanted to see..
Draw a tree on how you want it to be..
Who are your audience..
Need creativity...
How to conduct it..
and in order to make your audience to concentrate at your presentation do not distribute any printed resources materials before you done unless if it necessary...

good slide? does this means the slide in power point presentation? hehehe... are you participating in the ePPDa com? well, like what Mr Dylen said, you must know who are your audience first... if we are talking about power point presentation, than the point should be power... this is what people intend to make mistakes when preparing slides... they care less about the layout and projection... this what i always do in my slides...

1. make sure you use a background that is suit to the place where you are going to present ur slides... in terms of the lighting... normally we will present in a dark room... can only see the lcd light... i always use blue, navy blue and dark color for my presentation...

2. in selecting the font color, it ha to be contra, i always put white.. the effect is extreme... no one cannot see a white font on a dark blur background... btw, blue is a very soothe ring color, tak penat mata memandang dek oi...

3. type of font... use only and only san-serif type of font [tulisan takde sirip] make sure ur font is huge enough to be seen from far... people intend to use font 14 and 16 cause want to put all the point inside... don't put it into practice... use font with the sized of 30 - above

4. the content... please dont put all the details inside, slides is for presenting important point only and the details should be printed out in a paper... we are not presenting books to read... we are presenting point...

5. add medias like graphics, audio and video to make ur presentation more lively... but be sure that the materials is relevant to the topic...

so, that is my opinion on how to prepare a good slide... if you are talking slide for microscope... than that should be a different story... hope it helps you... hem... why dont you prepare one, post it here and i give comment on it...
