I would like to gather opinions, feedback and suggestions from teachers and maybe from students on how to overcome the challenges in the mastery of these topics by students. Feel free to drop a few lines and suggestions

Chapter 8 : Salt (Qualitative Analysis)

As we know that, students have to memorise the colour and test for different ions.

They said very difficult to memorise and give up.

So, here is how your can memorise the test for cation by adding NaOH and NH3 by using Neumonic method

In order to overcome problem in mastering CHEMISTRY, we must try to understand the misconception about the chemistry concept.

The attach file is the report of research on students’ misconceptions in chemistry.

The report presents reviews of research on students’ misconceptions in eleven conceptual areas of chemistry. These are: states of matter; particle theory; changes of state; distinguishing between elements, compounds and mixtures; physical and chemical change; open and closed system chemical events; acids, bases and neutralisation; stoichiometry; chemical bonding; thermodynamics and chemical equilibrium.

Students’ misconceptions about basic chemical ideas

Hopefully by understand the misconception of students will help us to deliver content in the way to avoid students misconception.
