would any teachers here like to share about what they are doing in their schools with SLAD? i'm elected the Pengerusi of SLAD, and i have no idea what i should do to help to make SLAD an active club.. please throw me some suggestions yea.. thanks so much!

Hi. You can ask your counsellor about the activities. For a start, the students should know the 'ikrar' and some songs on dadah prevention. You can also create a SLAD corner in the counselling room or you can also paste articles on dadah on the counselling notice board. There is a syllabus for SLAD, just ask the counsellor.  Try to do scrap book or power point presentation on dadah ( e-PPDa ). May be during assembly, you can ask the students to give 3 minit bersama SLAD. Create replica of dadah/cigarette n burn them. These are all 'old' activities. Sigh!! Hard to be active, ya. Ask the students what they want, they won't give us the answer!! Sigh!! We try our best,k. Good luck!

wow.. thanks siti! those are good suggestions.. i wil try to carry out some of them.. i only hope that the students will participate in the activities, as all of them are members of uniformed bodies right.. plus clubs and sports, i really dont know if they will show that much interest in SLAD.. anyway, thanks so much.. if you have new programs / proposals for SLAD, do post here yeah!

Yup... Skim Lencana Anti Dadah(SLAD)...

Alicia, it is kind of hard to get the students to participate actively in any club. I do have the same problems. They rather play games than listening or watching clips on Dadah or AIDS. Near PMR or SPM, they wont show their face anymore, eventually the club died. He he he. Wish that our students are more independent and creative. They run the show, we just facilitate. Sigh!! All the best!!!

Morning. Skim Lencana AntiDadah is one of the club which is given the responsibilities to educate our youth the importance of staying.... away from harmful and addictative subtances. In a sense to make them see the trouble they would be facing or their loved ones would be force to endure in the future. Its not an easy task but try to understand your members and gradually try something which they are talented to do. maybe plan some outing with them, games, collect article(s) on "dadah" or drug abuse, creating poster or banner which let their talent flow. Encouraged them to participate in competition such as pertandingan Nasyid Kontemporari AntiDadah, AntiDadah poster or essay writting. Ngo such as Pemadam are willing enough to help out if approached. Get to know and understand the members needs. try to get them to organized and used their skill and talent in the correct way. Be patience and you would reap the fruit of joy when your members start to be active.

tak semesti semua aktiviti ada kaitan dengan anti dadah. lawatan, ceramah, lukisan poster, bahas, hiasan kawasan sekolah, BBQ, sukan , main bola, asalkan aktiviti yang baik untuk pelajar, tontonan video, suruh pelajar download video dari internet dan ditanyang masa kk pun boleh

Apabila berhadapan dengan murid yang menganggotai Kelab SLAD, pelbagai aktiviti boleh dilaksanakan bersama. Aktiviti-aktiviti seperti bergotong-royong turut mendidik mereka erti bekerjasama, ataupun memberi perangsang kepada mereka untuk melibatkan diri dalam perancangan masa hadapan. Memberi peluang kepada mereka menyampaikan maklumat ataupun menyediakan maklumat daripada keratan akhbar untuk tatapan rakan-rakan akan membina keyakinan diri dan seterusnya menyemai dalam jiwa mereka banyak lagi perkara atau aktiviti yang sihat serta membantu orang lain selain daripada terlibat dengan penyalahgunaan dadah. Sama-samalah kita berkongsi idea dan aktiviti demi masa hadapan anak didik kita.
