Hai every one ! & any one ?
      This Oper. def. is still bothering me. I ve, asked around but still can't have a definite picture of what the whole thing is. Perak 2008 trial exam gave the following answer in the marking scheme .Operational def. for strong acid is :
"an acid which ionised completely in water to produce high concentration of hydrogen ion" - 3 full marks !!! Is it correct please !
      2008 Trengganu Trial exam - What is ope. def. for Diprotic acid ?

Operational definition normally relate the observation in the experiment with the manipulated variable.
For example, the experiment on the coagulation of latex using acid. The operational definition will be :
Latex becomes (white) solid when acid is added.

Answer from the answer scheme from the exercise book ( KOLEKSI KERTAS PEPERIKSAAN SEBENAR SPM) states that:

hydrogen ions from the acid neutralise the negative charges on the surface of the membrane of rubber particles. the rubber particle becomes neutral when latex coagulate.

please help me...

This is the suggested answer that my senior teacher gave for that question.

Latex become solid when acid is added // latex become solid when exposed to air.

I went for a SPM seminar during the holidays. It was conducted by an experienced teacher. According to him, to write operational definition we must write down what to be conducted during the experiment and the observation. Answers given from the pastyear question book are all wrong.
