Mr. Jong, can you confirm ur marking scheme paper 3 SBP 2009 on the decimal point of voltmeter.
Your marking scheme give 2 d.p. But as i know the voltmeter only have 5 division, supposeis only 1 d.p. Please clarify!! Thank you very much.

Hi,
The whole set of questions and marks scheme does not belong to me, I am just sharing with you all with what I have. There are some errors in the mark scheme as you have pointed out. As a general guide for P3 Chemistry, the accuracy of reading is half of its smallest unit / division.
Hoping this will clear your doubts.
Using a double exclamation marks on the subject in a public forum sounds a bit impolite.

Thank you

Mr Jong, sorry..im still confuse about the decimal point of voltmeter reading. Some of the teachers(1 of them is GC) told me that if 1 of the voltmeter reading shown 0.15V & the others are shown 0.3V, 0.2V and 0.1V.then the voltmeter reading should b 2dp..if all voltmeter reading are shown 0.1V, 0.3V, 0.2V then the voltmeter reading should b 1dp..
Some teachers said just like what u explained.
Last 3 years im still write in 1dp for the voltmeter reading especially in PEKA.This year my students carried out experiment about constructing ESC..1 of the voltmeter reading shown 0.05V..my pentaksir PEKA said can be accepted. After this i start to confuse. Finally i also dont know how to explain to my students...
Sorry if i had said something wrong to u & others.i just want to know and make sure the actual dp for the voltmeter reading.TQ

For my opinion, i think stick to Mr.Jong method to determine the d.p. Coz GC in my school, mdm.Wong Lai Sieng is using the same method as Mr.Jong.
