Dear English teachers,

Salam 1Malaysia..
I need your opinion on Question #11 (Section B-Social Expression).. the suggested answer given is
   A. No, I'm not...
to respond to the patient's question of
   "Are you going to pull out my tooth, doctor?"
However, my doubt is,who is talking first in this situation? I've been telling my pupils that the speech bubble on top is normally the one who talks first, and the one below is the response..(i learnt this during the English Workshop conducted by English JU)... So, according to that theory,the answer could be D,
   
   Dentist: Open your mouth wider.
   Patient: Are you going to pull out my tooth, doctor?

I don't have much experience in teaching exam classes, so i hope the other English teachers out there can help me on this issue..

I have the same idea and I don't really agree with the question. The most relevant answer to me is D but the given n suggested answer is A. If we refer to the speech bubble, the doctor suppose to be the first speaker. Most of my pupils put D as the answer because I used to tell them that the speech bubble on the top is the first speaker and try to look for the suitable answer which best describe the picture. It seems that the answer suggested is very much different with the information given by the JU's. So...can anybody tell us which one to follow??? We are trying to give pupils the correct information and teach them how to answer question..so please provide us...teachers...with the correct information
