Dear friends,

Today i had conducted this experiment. The result when i used the zinc and aluminium pairs of metal was very strange, the zinc become negative terminal and aluminium become positive terminal. Why this happened? (The theory should be Al - negative terminal and Zn - positive terminal).

The other pairs of metals showed the correct observation.

Is the aluminium metal strip being cleaned thoroughly with sand paper? Aluminium and zinc metal sometimes appear to be quite similar

I think it's cleaned enough after i used the sand paper. I'll try again. Thanks a lot.
