Fellow teachers:

What is the operational definition for heat of neutralisation?

The given answer is: The heat of neutralisation is the amount of heat released when one mole of water is produced.

But it seems that there is no difference between the operational definition and conceptual definiton of heat of neutralisation. We suppose to relate it with observation right? Just very confuse about it.

Teachers are kindly to drop comments here. Thanks...^^

Here ismy opinion, Smiley
According to the text book, concptual definition of heat of neutralisation is the heat change when 1 mole of water is formed.

Therefore, operational defnition of heat of neutralisation cn be defined as the amount of heat released when 1 mole of water is formed.

Operational definitin not only relate to observation, it can be relate to measurement and calculation of the result from the experiment.
