Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

Open, edit, and save documents, workbooks, and presentations in the file formats new to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007.

Download the FileFormatConverters.exe

Recently our officer keep receiving documents files and excel files from Office 2007. His computer installed Office 2003, so he can't open the files. Using FileFormatConverters.exe it can help to open the files without using Office 2007.

Now people start to use Office 2007 already and some might save the file in docx or xlsx. To prevent the frustration of unable to open the file I think is wise to install it.  Wink

the default file format save in word office 2007 is *.docx. (or any ms office 2007 extra x extension) we can change the default save type from *.docx to *.doc. Or just remember to save as *.doc before saving. More convenient i think, because many people (including me)  still use ms office 2003 (looking forward to use this new version!  Roll Eyes . But the converter tool above is quite useful also...

I haven't tried to simply change the extension for .docx to .doc [eg], Some files boleh ubah terus macam tu and some doesn't. Tapi kalau cikgu dah try and jadi, better buat mcm tuh... jap, nak carik .docx file utk dibuat eksperimen... sapa yang dah try please inform the result... Office 2007 boleh tahan jugak... Especially power point dia, bnyk effect...
